I'm at the beginning of a new phase in life and planning to launch a flower farm near Glasgow. The idea initially came about just over a year ago when I was thinking of different jobs I'd be good at. Floristry was something I investigated, and during that research I found out about flower farms. Although I visited Keukenhof about 20 years ago, I didn't realise that such things as flower farms existed, and it opened up a whole new world for me. I've always loved plants and gardening, growing things from seed and when I was in my late teens/early 20s I loved the idea of a smallholding, and have continued to love that idea since. I've kept Netherland Dwarf rabbits for 30 years and a flower farm feels so complimentary to animal husbandry that the whole concept makes real sense to me.
